Information for Members

In a Baptist Church, final authority for all decisions rests with the church membership. At First Baptist the membership ordinarily meets three times a year, in January, May and October. To carry out the church's ministries and policies, First Baptist has two governing boards (Deacons and Trustees) and several committees that take care of specific areas of ministry.

Meetings of our Boards and Committees are ordinarily open to all members. Minutes of recent meetings are published here (in PDF format), except in cases where confidentiality is required for personal or legal reasons. Members may direct questions or comments to Board members in person.

Children's Sabbath

Sunday, October 18

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me." We will be holding our first Children's Defense Fund Children's Sabbath where our focus will be on becoming better advocates for children in our community and beyond.
